Your Guide to Electric Vehicle Charging

As the transportation industry electrifies, we're here to help members understand electric vehicle charging.

Energize Your Drive

When electric vehicle charging is managed in alignment with demand and renewable energy production, it helps capitalize on zero emission fuel sources and times when energy costs are lower.  This is beneficial for both the member and the Cooperative.  With Energize Your Drive, we have EV chargers with integrated metering, rebates for new chargers enrolled in an energy management program, and special incentive charging rates.

Purchase from the Cooperative

By purchasing an electric vehicle charger with integrated metering through PEC, members can alleviate the cost of installing an additional metering socket.  This is available as a result of our chargEV® partnership.  Chargers purchased through the Cooperative are eligible for an $800 rebate.

There are three sizes available to accommodate your charging needs:

Size Price* Required Service Description
7.7 kW $478.51 40 amp service This works well for a compact EV or plug-in hybrid vehicle.
11.5 kW $805.48 60 amp service This is the most common charger requested for residential charging.
15.4 kW $1,177.53 80 amp service This is designed for larger battery vehicles such as pick-up trucks.

*After taxes and rebate are applied.

Bring Your Own

If members already own an electric vehicle charger for use at their home or business, they will need to install a sub-metered or new parallel service depending on location.  These chargers are eligible for an up to $400 rebate.

For more information about this process, call the Cooperative at (800) 214-2694.

Cooperative EV Rates

There are a variety of incentive rates available for members charging electric vehicles at their home or business.  Participating in any of these rates may require a second meter to be installed.
