Electric Vehicles and People's Energy Cooperative
Electric vehicles (EVs) are a growing part of the transportation industry and we want to help you find the information you need to understand what it means to own an electric vehicle. This fact sheet helps get you started, and then below we have more information about specific programs you can participate in at People's Energy Cooperative.
We offer EV charger rebates for those interested in installing a level two charger in their home. Amounts range from $400-$800 depending on the type of charger purchased. Additional information on each rebate is available by clicking on the link below.
There are two incentive rates available for members charging their EVs at home. Participating in either rate may require a second meter to be installed. An additional monthly basic service charge of $5.50 will apply for members with single-phase service and $10.00 for members with three-phase service.
Off-Peak Rate
- $0.06000/kWh (9:30 pm - 1:30 pm M-F and all hours on weekends and holidays)
- Charging not available from approximately 1:30 pm - 9:30 pm M-F, excluding holidays.
EV Charging Agreement - Off Peak
Time-of-Use (TOU) Rate
This rate offers members the opportunity for the lowest cost to charge their EV, with the most flexibility.
- On-Peak: $0.25000/kWh (2 pm - 9 pm M-F, excluding holidays)
- Off-Peak: $0.07000/kWh (5 am - 2 pm Weekdays and all hours on weekends and holidays, excluding overnight)

For both rate options, rates and charging times are subject to change from time-to-time.
PEC Drive$ense Electric Vehicle Charging Program

-
Sign PEC's EV Charging Agreement and submit the appropriate rebate form and required documentation. Both can be found above.
